Seva day - Warrington Shakha
Seva day was celebrated by Warrington Shakha on November 21, 2010. As a tradition, on this day, the swayam sevaks perform some seva to the local community as a gesture of good will and gratitude. The sevikas prepared a wholesome delicious meal and visited the YMCA premises (located in the town center in Warrington) to serve the diners.

Khel Competition Practise Update
Ladies will meeting at sharp 7 PM @ Peace Centre and practise kho kho (before shakha starts).
Khel Competition
Namaste!
On the 12th of December the national khel pratiyogita is going to be held. This
is a competition which invloves shakhas all over the country, participants from
all different ages come to play games such as football, kho kho and ring!
Warrington Shakha have entered a team for the past 7 years and we intend do the
same this year. We are planning on having a football team which we be created by
Shiv. Football can only be played by under 15's so the younger swayamsevaks will
be participating in this. The other game we are going to participate in is ring
which will be supervised by Sriram ji and Hasmukh ji...we played this last year.
For the ladies at shakha (sevikas) I would love to see a team representing
Warrington this year. We potentially have a very strong team.
For our teams to be prepared by 12th of December we need to practise, therefore
we are going to have practises every Sunday from now till the competition day
itself. We will practise all games we intend to play, the session will start at
around 10ish in the morning to around 11.30! I strongly encourage participation,
it is a great opportunity to meet new people and also to show the rest of the
country the strength of Warrington shakha through our attendenance and the manner in which we play!
I will not be able to attend these practises but i will be keeping in close
contact with Shiv ji, Sriram ji and Priti ji who will make the teams this year.
If you are interested, which i hope you all are, show your interest in this
weeks shakha where this can be discussed further.
