It was not any regular weekend but one of those days when its gorgeous outside, there is a football match to watch on Tele and yet people make it with their families to the trek organized by Sewa International. Malham, only a hour and half drive from Warrington, is a tiny paradise for family picnics/treks. We arrived around 10.30 and started the trek at around 11 A.M. The sun was high and bright just the kind of weather perfect for picnics. We climbed to the peak (well almost) and took a break for lunch. All of us packed a bag full of goodies - Potato shaak, Aloo tikki, Veggie cutlets, all neatly sandwiched in baps Cucumber-cheese sandwiches, Flapjacks, Pulao, Crisps, sweet nibbles..I could go on about the menu for the kind of foodie I am...anyway what fun would a picnic be without these?
I am so glad that these little ones were leading us especially Akshay (as usual wanted to finish first). I still remember him saying "You know this is just medium after the last one we did " how cute!
I must admit women power was the highlight of the day, as we were right behind the kids and the men were blindly following us, asking us to stop for a break every now and then, so that they could catch up with us. And then there were these other Shakha groups, a bit confused looking at us climbing up, while they were on their way down to finish the trek...really hilarious...Imagine their plight L
Mr 'S' made sure that all the little ones got to touch the stream of water.. Some patience..
Yp..Money does grow on trees! But only 10s and 20Ps J
